Floods, droughts, lightning, aqua alta, heat and cold waves tailored predictions with our own Sibila Monitoring and Prediction Systems(™) -or just Sibila (™) – using the state-of-the-art of dynamical pattern-based recognition, Machine Learning algorithms and climate models, across multiple timescales, for any threshold triggering your adaptation measures to climate change and natural variability.
Weather and intra-seasonal forecasting
We provide accurate and reliable weather and intra-seasonal forecasts of a range of atmospheric, oceanic and land and soil variables, such as precipitation, temperature, wind regime, cloud cover, solar radiation, soil moisture, ocean currents, etc.
- Weather forecasts up to 10 days, with a spatial resolution of 5 km x 5 km.
- Weekly forecasts up to 30 days in advance, at a spatial resolution of 15 km x 15 km.
Seasonal forecasting
AlisiosCorp offers, in addition to meteorological and intra-seasonal forecasts, complementary forecasts at seasonal time scales, which describe the expected state of key climatic variables of interest.
- Probabilistic climate outlooks for the next 3-9 months, with a spatial resolution of ~ 50km².
Interannual forecasting
For clients planning for the coming year or beyond, we offer enhanced long-term forecasts. These forecasts provide early information on key variables such as temperatures, precipitation, lightning, vegetation indices and sea level rise, enabling proactive planning and early action.
- Year-to-year outlooks for the next 1-5 years, with a spatial resolution of ~100 km x 100 km.
Storm tracking and forecasting
Alisios helps improve water resource management, improve infrastructure resilience and disaster preparedness. Examples:
- Lightning monitoring and forecasting.
- Forecasting the start and end of the rainy season(s).
Forensic meteorology
Forensic meteorology supports legal, insurance and investigative processes related to meteorological phenomena. This service includes attribution and advice, and can be integrated with other offerings such as weather and climate forecasts, landslide monitoring, food security forecasts, and human migration predictions.
Climate projections (climate change and natural variability)
This service offers medium- and long-term climate projections, combining the impact of climate change with natural variability. Using advanced models and observational data, we generate future scenarios of temperature, precipitation and extreme events. These projections allow companies and governments to anticipate climate effects in key sectors such as agriculture, water resources, infrastructure and health.
